His Excellency Governor (Dr.) Moses Kiarie Badilisha has announced that over 220 title deeds for Huruma residents will be issued to their owners while at the same instructing the establishment of a nursing manager position in County health facilities to ensure patients seeking medical attention receive improved services.
Speaking when he joined hundreds of worshippers in a thanksgiving service at the Mary Mother of God Catholic Church, Olkalou, Karau ward, Governor Badilisha called on leaders to join hands and pool resources to develop the County and serve the people whose principal expectation is better services, improved standards of living and money in their pockets.
“We are not masters but servants with clear instructions from Mwananchi on what to do. Our people will never forgive us if we do not deliver a new Nyandarua full of opportunities for our people. I ask each one of us to redouble our efforts in transforming Nyandarua,” the Governor told other leaders present who included the First Lady Her Excellency Grace Kiarie, County Senator Hon. John Methu, area Member of Parliament Hon. Njuguna Kiaraho and County Woman Representative Hon. Faith Gitau among other leaders.
The County Head further assured the congregation that the recast roads’ rehabilitation programme, now working across wards, will have completed “fully rehabilitating all our roads within the next two years. And that’s a commitment I will fulfil as I endeavour to open up the whole County.”
The mass was presided over by the Vicar General, who is also the parish priest, Father Timothy Macharia.
