The Nyandarua County’s Kenya Inter County Sports and Cultural Association (KICOSCA) team has been flagged-off this morning in a colorful ceremony presided over by His Excellency Governor (Dr.) Moses Kiarie Badilisha at the County headquarters, Ol’Kalou.
Encouraging the team to be good ambassadors of the County, Governor Badilisha asked the staff to maintain the “great sportsmanship that defines us and our people, and to go out and conquer; bring back the trophies and anchor the name of our great County, Nyandarua, in the national sporting map.”
The national inter-counties sporting event starts in Kisumu on Monday. This year’s theme is “Promoting National Cohesion through Sports and Culture”. Nyandarua is represented in 14 disciplines by a cross section of staff from all departments.
Present in the ceremony was the Deputy Governor His Excellency Mwangi Mathara, several County Executive Committee Members and other senior staff.
