His Excellency Governor Francis Kimemia during an interaction with members of the Nyandarua County Trade Development and Investment Authority on 28th January at the County Government Headquarters in Ol’Kalou.

Established by the Nyandarua County Trade Development and Investment Authority Act, 2020, the Authority is mandated to oversee specific trade and development issues (see separate speech by the Governor).

It is run by a board, comprising Mr. Isaac Maina Gitura (Chairperson), Ms. Mercy Nyambura Mungai (member), Ms. Joyce Muthoni Nderitu (member) and Mr. Joseph Gichuchi Nderitu (member).

One of the members, Mr. Kevin James Mwai Gathigia (member), passed away last month.
Governor Kimemia shared his vision for Nyandarua with the members, before asking them to help harness the County’s competitive advantages across all economic spheres.

The members, who were sworn in on December 10, 2020 by Justice Charles Kariuki of the Nyahururu Law Courts, assured the County boss of their commitment to aid in Nyandarua’s transformation.

Present was acting County Secretary and Head of Public Service Hon. Stephen Njoroge (also County Executive Committee Member for Finance and Economic Development), Chief of Staff Mr. Charles Wachira, Chief Officer for Industrialization, Trade and Urban development Mr. Samson Mweru, Chief Executive Officer for Panorama Consulting Company Ltd Dr. Paul Kibicho, the firm’s Executive Director Mr. Peter Macharia, the Governor’s Policy Advisor Amb. Jane Wakenda, alongside member of the Governor’s Service Delivery Unit, Mr. Kelvin Ikua.
