Interdenominational prayers at the County Government Headquarters in Ol’Kalou, where Church leaders prayed for County unity and staff before sanctifying work stations, including the office occupied by His Excellency (Dr.) Moses N. Badilisha Kiarie.
Governor Badilisha reiterated his inaugural call for leaders and residents to shun the events of the past 10 years, which he warned still offer painful lessons about acrimony, marked by wasted resources.
He further assured residents that his administration will continue partnering with the Church in service delivery.
He thanked the Church for its support in his campaign and guiding congregations in these moments of transition.
In his homily, Bishop John Gichara commended the County head for starting his tenure by inviting the presence of God.
Present were their excellencies Deputy Governor Mathara Mwangi and First Lady Grace Kiarie, alongside County Executive Committee Members Hon. Ann Mary Gathigia (Youth, Sports, Gender and Social Services), Hon. Stephen Njoroge (Finance and Economic Development) and Muigai Wainaina (acting County Secretary and Head of Public Service), among others.
