His Excellency the Deputy Governor Mathara Mwangi has called on the Taskforce on police reforms to recommend a human rights-driven approach to policing.
Speaking this morning when he received a delegation from the team which is holding public participation meetings in Olkalou today, the Deputy Governor added that it is also important for the reforms team to review previous efforts undertaken including “what was done under the Philip Ransley Commission, the GJLOS and other reports from local and international bodies in order to get the service for the present and the future.”
The Deputy Governor presented a Memorandum of recommendations to the team for consideration.
The team was led by Commissioner John ole Moyaki abd the County Commissioner Mr Amos Mariba among other leaders.
