His Excellency Governor Francis Kimemia inspects ongoing works at Kanguû water tank in Gatimu Ward, Ol’Jororok Sub-County.
The 225m³ water tank project is expected to benefit a minimum of 500 homes across the Ward.
Governor Kimemia directed County Executive Committee Member for Water, Environment, Tourism and Natural Resources Hon. Milka Wanjiru to fast-track connection of distribution pipes to the homes of eager residents.
The County boss urged residents to own the project by deploying community leaders to aid in monitoring and evaluation.
Present were County Executive Committee members Hon. Stephen Njoroge (acting County Secretary / Finance and Economic Development), Hon. Anne-Mary Gathigia (Youth, Sports, Gender and Social services), Hon. Mary Mugwanja (Transport, Energy and Public Works), Hon. Anne Githinji (County Attorney), Hon. (Dr.) John Mungai (Health Services) and Hon. (Dr.) James Karitu (Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries).
In attendance was area Member of the County Assembly Hon. Kieru Wambui, Chief of Staff Mr. Charles Wachira, all Chief Officers and members of the Governor’s Service Delivery Unit, among other senior County Government officials.
