His Excellency Governor Francis Kimemia today received 14 tanks, each with a capacity of 5,000 litres, from Ahadi Kenya.
The tanks will assist in water harvesting, to ensure pupils in Nyandarua’s Early Child Development and Education (ECDE) centers get clean drinking water.
“500 pairs of shoes, also received from the organization, will be shared among the pupils,” said the Governor at the County Government headquarters.
The support further included an Ambulance Mashinani (tuktuk with a trailer), which is expected to enhance maternal and health programs spearheaded by Her Excellency the First Lady, Mrs. (Amb.) Ann Kimemia in far-flung areas of the County, which are inaccessible to bigger ambulances.
The County head thanked Ahadi Kenya for its contributions to the County’s education and health programs, the latter of which he said will advance His Excellency President Uhuru Kenyatta’s Big Four Agenda on Universal Health Coverage.
“A grateful nation – not just Central Kenya – thanks the organization’s Chief Executive Officer Dr. Stanley Kamau for the selfless efforts he continually makes to restore the dignity of our people, often assailed by disease, poverty and ignorance,” he said.
