Devolution Cabinet Secretary Hon. Anne Waiguru said her Ministry-through the National Youth Service- will construct 25 kilometers of murram road in Nyandarua County and install two milk cooling plants. The NYS personnel- who have in the past been involved in sinking over 20 dams across the county- will also put up two toilets in Huruma slums in Ol’Kalou town and sink two boreholes. These were some of the activities the 900 servicemen and women serving in the county will carry out in the next three months.
Hon. Waiguru was speaking from Huruma slums where she also commissioned Huduma kitchen- used by mothers to cook food to the servicemen involved in manual activities. Earlier, Hon. Waiguru inspected the on-going construction of Huduma Center outside the County Commissioner’s offices in Ol’Kalou and later paid a courtesy call on Nyandarua Governor H.E. Daniel Waithaka Mwangi in his Ol’Kalou office. The Governor enumerated key success witnessed by common people under devolved governments. He said the County leadership was solidly behind President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Jubilee government
