lot after receiving 345 water tanks from His Excellency Governor (Dr.) Moses N. Badilisha Kiarie, each with a capacity of 500 litres.<\/div><div dir=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/div><\/div><div class=\"x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\"><div dir=\"auto\">A grateful Mary-Ann Ngima, 80, from Kamiruri village, said she would no longer walk over long distances in search of clean water, but instead harvest and store the rare commodity whenever it rains.<\/div><\/div><div class=\"x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\"><div dir=\"auto\">County Executive Committee Member for Water, Environment, Climate Change and Natural Resources Hon. Samuel Mugo, who made the deliveries, said the move is among the Governor\u2019s ongoing interventions to ensure safe and adequate water across Nyandarua for domestic, irrigation and industrial use.<\/div><div dir=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/div><\/div><div class=\"x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\"><div dir=\"auto\">In response to the Governor\u2019s persistence, His Excellency President (Dr.) William Ruto has in recent weeks also vowed to fast-track construction of Kinja and Pesi mega-dams, both of which are expected to supply water to more than half of Nyandarua\u2019s population.<\/div><div dir=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/div><\/div><div class=\"x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\"><div dir=\"auto\">Present was area Member of the County Assembly Hon.
