LET\u2019S GO BACK TO OUR SCHOOLS AND HELP IMPROVE EDUCATION STANDARDS – GOV. BADILISHA TO NYANDARUA ALUMNI<\/div><\/div>
His Excellency Governor (Dr.) Moses Kiarie Badilisha has asked education stakeholders gathered for the Nyandarua County Education day to look at students\u2019 performance as not just \u201cmere mathematical statistics of marks, positions and numbers\u201d but see them as an issue of impact to the future of our children.<\/div><\/div>
Speaking this morning during the day\u2019s celebrations taking place at Kiganjo Secondary School, Governor Badilisha noted that \u201cin having this education day, and holding a conversation about our students\u2019 performance, we are not just dealing with statistics, but the lives of our very own children \u2013 the future of our county and that of the nation we all love. We are therefore called upon to be the enablers of our children\u2019s dreams and aspirations.\u201d<\/div><\/div>
Calling on education players to be alive to the changing dynamics in the world, the Governor advised that \u201cthe holistic nature of our education, and the globalized world we live in, is one which has opened unimaginable frontiers for our students. We are living at a time when the potential of our children \u2013 from academic to performing arts, in sports and environmental conservation, and in many other exploits and careers never before foregrounded in our education architecture, have become great drivers of the economy. Let us support our children to explore these opportunities.\u201d<\/div><\/div>
The County Head also called on alumni from Nyandarua to go back to their schools and support students and in infrastructure development.<\/div><\/div>
Present were Members of Parliament Hon. John Methu (Senator), Hon. Kwenya Thuku (Kinangop), Hon. Michael Muchira (Oljororok), and Hon. Wanjiku Muhia (Kipipiri), Speaker of the County Assembly Hon. Stephen Waiganjo, County Commissioner Mohammed Barre and a host of other national and county governments\u2019 leaders.<\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
