His Excellency Governor Francis Kimemia this afternoon joined members of the County Assembly in celebrating the uninamous passage of the Constitution Amendment Bill, 2020 (Building Bridges Initiative) at the august House in Ol’Kalou.
Reiterating its benefits, Governor Kimemia termed the passage a milestone for the people of Nyandarua.
“I’m now calling on the Assembly to unite and stop unnecessary and extremely embarrassing fights. BBI is meant to unite us,” he said.
Thanking members of the County Assembly and Nyandarua residents for their support, the County boss said now is the time to get down to serious business.
Accompanying the Governor were County Executive Committee Members Hon. Stephen Njoroge (acting County Secretary and Head of Public / Finance and Economic Development), Hon. Mary Mugwanja (Transport , Energy and Public Works), Hon. Milka Wanjiru (Water, Environment, Tourism and Natural Resources) and Hon. Daniel Wangenye (Education, Culture and the Arts), alongside Chief of Staff Mr. Charles Wachira.
In attendance was Cabinet Secretary for Water, Sanitation and Irrigation Hon. Cecily Kariuki and Ol’Kalou legislator Hon. David Kiaraho, among other senior County Government officials.
