At Kaimbaga Ward in Ol’Kalou Sub County where His Excellency Governor Francis Kimemia broke ground for the construction of a paving block (commonly known as cabro) manufacturing plant.
The proposed project envisages the setup of a Paving Block Manufacturing unit for producing blocks as prefabricated material for various construction activities like construction of roadside pave ways, parking flooring, paved driveways.
Governor Kimemia also launched construction works for a modern cemetery, which will provide a final resting place for Christians and Muslims.
The Cemetery project entails construction of an office block, burial ground, 10 metres buffer zone, landscaping and beautification , access Roads within and without the grave yards.
The governor also launched a paving block plant project in Ol Kalou Sub County and is to be developed on a 3.7-acre piece of land near Mahinga dumpsite.

The governor said the establishment of the new cemetery will ease the congestion currently being witnessed at the old site and ensure that residents have a decent place to bury the remains of their loved ones.
On the Cabro project, Governor Kimemia said the unit will provide employment to the local youth and also provide materials for the upgrade of most urban centres.
The construction of the two projects is expected to be completed November 30th, 2021.
