NOTICE OF CANCELLATION OF TENDER Email: engineer@nyandarua.go.ke Tender No.: NYA/CG/ONT/EM/001/2026-2027 Tender Name: PROPOSED PARKING AND DRAINAGE UPGRADES FROM GALANA PETROL STATION TO OLKALOU-NAIVASHA JUNCTION IN ENGINEER TOWN Engineer Municipality hereby notifies all interested bidders and members of the public that the above-mentioned tender, which was advertised in the Standard Newspaper on 1st September, 2026 has been cancelled/terminated prior to the submission/receipt and evaluation of bids. The cancellation has been occasioned by the discovery of material errors and deficiencies in the bills of quantity after publication of the tender advertisement. The identified deficiencies affect the completeness and integrity of the tender document and may adversely affect the preparation, pricing and submission of responsive and comparable bids. In order to safeguard the principles of fairness, transparency, competition, equal treatment of tenderers and value for money, the Accounting Officer has therefore determined that it would not be appropriate to proceed with the procurement on the basis of the affected tender document. Accordingly, the procurement proceedings under Tender No. NYA/CG/ONT/EM/001/2026-2027 are hereby cancelled/terminated with effect from 3rd September, 2026. Re- advertisement will be conducted soon through same channels. Interested parties are advised that Engineer Municipality will undertake a fresh procurement process using a duly reviewed and corrected tender document, in accordance with the Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Act, 2015, the Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Regulations, 2020 and applicable procurement procedures. This cancellation does not constitute an award or rejection of any bid, and no contractual rights shall arise from the cancelled procurement proceedings.
