His Excellency Governor Francis Kimemia’s vision to re-establish agriculture as the dominant component of Nyandarua’s economy got a boost last evening when the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics (KNBS) listed the County among seven devolved units with the best investment climate in Kenya.

“For example, Nyandarua and Elgeyo-Marakwet rank high by virtue of their high contribution to agriculture, which is the mainstay of Kenya’s economy,” KNBS says in its inaugural survey, which is now on the County Government website.
Nakuru, Kiambu, Meru, Narok and Bomet are the other counties which, like Nyandarua, KNBS says have huge agricultural potential and a cosmopolitan outlook.

As the fifth Annual Devolution Conference gets underway in Kakamega County, His Excellency Governor Francis Kimemia outlines actions the County Government is taking to achieve His Excellency President Uhuru Kenyatta’s Big Four Agenda.
